Update. Sort Of.

Just a quick note to let you all know that we're in the new house, and it's wonderful. I have many photos to share, as well as Eli's 18 month letter to publish. But, well, moving wears me out. I'm so tired that I am having problems keeping my eyes open as I type this.

So, I promise to have more tomorrow. Or maybe the next day. But it will be soon. Until then, enjoy this little video of Eli while we were out for a walk yesterday morning.

It's been a while since I have posted anything, so I thought I'd share some slide shows and a little video of Eli playing last night.

Here's the video:

It took Daddy a few minutes to get the slinky untangled... but he got it!

Last weekend we went to a fall party, where Eli had his first experience playing in the leaves... he enjoyed it. I wasn't sure we'd be able to get him back into the car to come home!

Is it too late to share the photos from his birthday party?? I think not!

Ok. that's it for now. I promise to try and post more frequently...

We've created a monster...

We found out that Eli is pretty good at playing video games.

Dave and I thought it would be funny to let him play around with the Wiimote. We were wrong.

It was hilarious.

This video was taken a few rounds in, after Dave and I caught our breath from laughing so hard.

Now, this is what he does when we play.

UGH. Dad. Give it to me!

A monster. A cute, cuddly monster. But, a monster nonetheless.

Mommy's little swimmer!

Last night we visited some friends who have a pool. It was Eli's first time swimming! He took to the water very well - he was splashing, laughing and having a great time...

Eli's Laughs

Last night, Eli and I were goofing around. Daddy took some video of it.

Mama's got a new toy...

Last night we picked up a new camera. Basically just a newer version of my previous camera, as it's 3 years old. and. well. I wanted a new one.

The old camera will be headed to a certain young lady I know who is interested in photography. I learned a lot with that camera. I hope she does too...

And, without further ado, a fun video shot with my new toy:

Clean 'n Go

We took this video just after dinner. Eli is fascinated with the Clean 'n Go wipes - He loves the way they smell, taste, and the way the package sounds when you crinkle it up... He loves them SO much, he's willing to do just about anything to get to them.

He must take after his Aunt Stacia...

What we have to look forward to...

Please take the time to watch this video. I laughed so hard the first time I watched it, it's so cute.

Won't be long before Eli is doing this!

Long time, no post

I haven't had the chance to post in a while, so here's a short little video of Eli playing... he's getting so big! It's hard to believe that he's almost 4 months old!

Eli talks when he doesn't see the camera...

As I am posting this, he's down on the floor telling Daddy a story. But he's got some sort of camera-detecting super power, because if I were to try to video him now, he'd shut up immediately.

Little Stinker.

Not Quite Clark Griswold...

... but just as obnoxious.

This house is just down the street from us. I laugh every time I drive by.

Winter Storm Warning!!

But, we ventured out anyway. We decided to head downtown Indy. Driving down Meridian Street was absolutely beautiful. The snowflakes were enormous...

For lunch, we went to the Bourbon Street Distillery. Best Pork Tenderloin EVER. We were the only people there, the whole city was quiet. They had the Christmas music blaring. We were watching the snow fall with the downtown skyline as a backdrop. It was so peaceful, so beautiful.

After lunch we headed to the Indiana Historical Society to see the famous Leg Lamp. We walked around looking at the various trees and photos representing Christmases past. We ran into one other couple in the museum. Again, it was like we had the place to ourselves.

My favorite part of the day was leaving the IHS, driving through downtown Indy. Around Military park, with it's huge snow covered trees. By Victory Field, the old buildings, around Monument Circle. The Christmas music on the Satellite radio, the snow falling so heavy - It was like we were driving through a movie.

Caution: Angry Geese Ahead

We have some geese that have decided to take over the front lawn at our office. Mean. Mean. Meanies. Yesterday, they attacked our office manager, and a maintenence person. Today, they charged me and forced me to enter through a side door. (and tried to attack me through the front door while I was unlocking it. through the window! ugh)

I joked yesterday about needing a sign out front for anyone attempting to walk up the side walk. Today, I am seriously pondering the idea. I am afraid for any appointments that are scheduled!
