Welcome to the second trimester!
We just got back from our latest Dr's visit. All is well. We heard the heartbeat again - pounding in at a steady 160 bpm. The baby is about the length of a lemon. I am anxiously awaiting feeling my first movements, which they say can happen anytime now (but most begin to feel it around 18-20 weeks) (that's too long to wait. I want to feel it NOW) (hehehe).
I've gained 5 lbs. I feel like I've gained 20. I am at that stage where many of my favorite clothes no longer fit, but I am not big enough to buy maternity clothes. While I am glad I am not big enough yet, it's still a little frustrating. I actually had someone tell me today that I am looking fat, like I need to work out. Don't EVER tell a pregnant woman that. EVER.
These last few days, I've felt great. The nausea is all but gone (knock on wood). My emotions are heightened, but still under control. I am still hungry. I could sooo totally go for a grande, non-fat, no-whip mocha right now. And a turkey sandwich, extra sprouts. and Feta cheese. mmmm. 6 more months.
