Who's with me???

With our trip to Germany quickly approaching, and Thanksgiving nipping it's heels, I have been thinking. (I know! Ali, thinking? Brace yourselves. hehee)

Usually when the holiday season comes around, Dave and I wait until Thanksgiving to set up the tree, get the garland strung, and hang the stockings from the chimney with care. (Even though I start whining about it much earlier.) But, with only a couple of days to recover from jet lag before having to set out again, it only makes sense. Right?? By the time we get back from seeing family & friends, we'll be sooo wiped out. We won't have the time or energy to make the house look pretty. And, by law, it has to be up by my birthday. That's just how it works.

Friday, I saw a man around the corner from us hanging up the lights around his house. So, we by far would not be the first people to get prepared for the upcoming holiday. And, how great would it be to come home to a warm, Christmas-y house. AND THINK OF ALL THE PHOTOS I COULD BE TAKING!

(I can hear Dave sighing while he's reading this. but IT ONLY MAKES SENSE! oh, and how fantastic is this ornament! hehehe.) Oh how I **LOVE** this time of year - and not because of the weather.

I'm thinking the same thing. If this weekend is even moderately nice, the outside lights may go up. And I have even more trees and places to decorate. WooHoo.

Taking them down in brrrr January is not nearly as fun!
